About
Built by the people who get called when it goes wrong.
Works is made and run by Integrity Safety Services, a safety consulting firm in Vancouver, Washington.
Why a consulting firm built software
Integrity Safety has spent [CONFIRM: number of years] doing the work this software is about. Jobsite safety audits for general contractors. Industrial hygiene air monitoring for asbestos, lead, and mold under NIOSH methods. Refinery safety at BP and Shell sites. Marine safety consulting. Training delivered to crews who would rather be working.
Across all of it, the same failure kept showing up. Not companies that did not care about safety, and not companies missing the paperwork. Companies that could not find the paperwork in the fifteen minutes before it mattered.
We tried the software that exists. It is built by software companies for procurement departments, priced per person so the smallest contractors pay the most attention to the meter, and implemented over quarters by consultants who then leave. Eighteen months later the safety director is back on a spreadsheet.
So we built what we wanted our own clients to have, ran it on our own consulting work first, and then made it available.
We are still a safety consulting firm. The software exists because the consulting kept running into the same wall.

What that means for you
When you ask whether the platform handles something, you are asking someone who has had to produce that document at a gate, not someone reading a feature list.
It also means the consulting is still there. Audits, industrial hygiene, training, and program work are available alongside the platform for clients who want them, and separately for those who do not.
